Between my shadow and my soul

Doing a Kay (Khadija)

I disagree with this poem.
I regret more the things I didn't do, than those I did.
And that has perhaps made me who I am today.
Very lost, very confused and yet filled with energy
to Live.
I was supposed to finish my thesis last year but instead
spent time with some of the most special people I
will ever met. This is something I must remember
on my drowning days.

Life's Tragedy

It may be misery not to sing at all,
And to go silent through the brimming day;
It may be misery never to be loved,
But deeper griefs than these beset the way.

To sing the perfect song,
And by a half-tone lost the key,
There the potent sorrow, there the grief,
The pale, sad staring of Life's Tragedy.

To have come near to the perfect love,
Not the hot passion of untempered youth,
But that which lies aside its vanity,
And gives, for thy trusting worship, truth.

This, this indeed is to be accursed,
For if we mortals love, or if we sing,
We count our joys not by what we have,
But by what kept us from that perfect thing.

Hmm Noojie...it's funny because there are some things I do regret, but without which I would have never been me, y'know.

I guess what we have to remember always is that we are where we're supposed to be in life, so that we can become who we're meant to be.

Whether we like where we are or not, it doesnt matter.

And that is the divine wisdomof our Creator. He knows the bigger picture even when we can't see it ourselves :)

Am honored by having inspired the title.

In French school we once had an end of semester assignment to write an essay on whether it was better not to have done something and regret it after or do it and feel remorse....Our days are too fluid, time stacks up against us too quickly... remorse or regret? Both in moderation, what's done is done, and if it's done well enough to earn a smile then let's look ahead with that smile.

Remember,
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment."
