Nooj

Between my shadow and my soul

Everyone anticipates the relief,
Love story, greatness, Zuckerman odyssey,
Anything to put a star on the back of your palm,
A satellite to point out in the midnight sky
Something to stop life Going By

I shrug the Expectation for what it is
Play and amusement, no real gist
Stopping my freefall at its pinnacle
No autographs, biographies, free dvds
Will eclipse the ‘little” that is Me

qk- thanks it is sort of conflicted. on the one hand i want to fit in, on the other i'm just so happy to be left out...

lol shafs i think you just like me too much :D

khadija- beauty in sadness? there is a fine line between being disillusioned and being bitter but i'm glad you see it as disillusionment because i hope never to be bitter iA

the wonders of poetry- I read a note of reconciliation with fate perhaps, of realigning ambition, disillusioned with the glitz...

Can there be beauty in sadness?
