Fair enough, but I think this, in a sense, absolves flies of their responsibility to lick only lollies bought specifically for them. Should flies not be good for the sake of being good, not just out of fear of being swatted or sprayed?

This is absolutely brilliant. Perfect explanation.

mk- yeah it grabbed my attention immediately. first time i've ever posted an email directly onto my blog. then again tho, different strokes for dif folks. some might deem it too simplistic.

P- *rubs hands together:)*
On a one dimensional visual level you are correct. But let us radiate these light waves with The Source. In Surah Nisa, in the contxt of a discussion about Halaal sexual relations we are told in verse 28 "Man was created weak". Some translations add after this that man cannot have patience in wanting sex with a woman. But the actual Arabic word used is Insaan which is unisexual. Meaning both man and woman are weak when it comes to this- therefore the last thing on their minds is being swatted or sprayed- action/reaction. And therefore there are prohibitions that assist our strength, guide us towards the Straight Path, sometthing we ask for everyday many times but are not thankful when we receive it. My faith in these prohibitions is further strenghtened by verse 14 in Surah Mulk (extremely profound!): "Should not He Who has created know?" In Deed. Life experience cements this. I have attended these supposedly girls-only let's dress crazy parties and I feel weak, uncertain, unsure of myself. Invariably tho the DJ's or the cousins bringing the food end up being male so I have begun wearing my hijab to them.

Ahhh shafs trust you to put it in much fewer words- honey bees are motivated by one Purpose :) Many happy wishes to you too- hope the soulful sojourn upturned many boxes and upset the twirling scribbles into motion...
